SAFARI OVERVIEW:
This is 10 days safari itinerary, the safari will lead you to Nyerere National Park formally known as Selous Game reserve, then to Ruaha National Park via Iringa city, followed by a game drive to Mikumi National Park and lastly make a stop to Udzungwa Mountains National Park for a nature hike on the way back to Dar es Salaam. With this safari package you will see different animal biodiversity, explore beautiful landscapes, scenic view of birds, big trees and shrimps, birds of prey, different snakes, reptiles, hike to beautiful waterfalls and so much more.
Day: 1 Dar- Nyerere National Park
Early after breakfast at 8:00 am, you’ll be picked up from your hotel/Airport in Dar es Salaam and driven to Nyerere National Park for an evening boat safari.
You will have a picnic lunch on the way an continue with a drive to the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. Late In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River, where you’ll come in contact with hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat, Crocodile glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippo appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

Day: 2 Nyerere National Park
After breakfast from the camp, you’ll have a full day game drive in the park.
Nyerere National Park previously known as Selous Game Reserve is now the second largest National Park in Africa after the Namib-Naukluft National Park in Namibia which is almost entirely desert and the 11th largest National Park in the world as it covers an area of 30,893 kmsq2. Nyerere National Park is a home to a large population of elephants, big number of buffalos and wild dogs. Other species commonly seen are lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus and crocodiles

Day 3: Nyerere to Iringa
Early in the morning after breakfast you will drive to Iringa for overnight stay.
As you pass by Iringa you can opt to visit the Isimila Stone Age and Mtwa Mkwawa Museum. The Isimila Stone Age lies about 20 km to the southwest, contains archeological artifacts, particularly stone tools, from human habitation about 70,000 years ago. Mtwa Mkwawa Museum located at Kalenga Ward was established in 1954 after returned of Mkwawa skull belonged to Hehe ethnics group from Germany after restored for 56 years

Day 4: Ruaha National Park
Drive to Ruaha for an evening safari overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.
Early in the morning after having a delicious breakfast you will drive towards Ruaha National Park. On the way you may have already had the chance to see some giraffes, elephant or some antelopes that are wandering outside the park. After the formalities to be carried out at the gate, you will start your driving crossing the Ruaha River to see its Hippos, Crocs, elephants, hunting predictors, various water birds and so much more.

Day:5 Ruaha National Park
Another enjoyable safari day at Ruaha National Park looking for animals along the Great Ruaha River and through out the Park.
Ruaha National Park Being the second Largest Park in Tanzania with 20,226 km2 which covers vast population of Wildlife. The main character of this park is the great Ruaha river with a length of 475km attracting large number of animals especially during dry season. The river provides life to the park, as it flows through the eastern side of the park and is home to hippos, crocodiles and the bird count is over 400 species of birds such as Racket Tailed Roller, Pale billed Hornbill, Shelley’s Sunbird and Hoopoes. Ruaha providing home to one of Tanzania’s largest elephant populations, famous for pride of lions, giraffe, grant’s gazelles, Leopard, Cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe, Buffallo etc and rare or endangered animals such as Sable Antelope, Greater Kudu & Roan Antelope.

Day 6: Ruaha National
After breakfast you will enjoy another lovely day at Ruaha.
On this day you will have a full day game drive along the Great Ruaha River and through out the Park. You will drive through various habitats with various animals, birds and more stunning scenery of the Mwagusi Sand River as well as the Mdonya River. Stop for some lunch in the bush followed by further game viewing until sunset and head back for dinner and overnight at RUAHA RIVER LODGE.
Day: 7 Mikumi National Park
Early After breakfast from the camp, you’ll have a Full day game drive at Mikumi National Park.
Mikumi National Park was stablished in 1964, it is the fourth largest park in the country covering an area of 3,230 sq. Kms. The Mkata river floodplain is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impala and spot a rich number of bird species. It is 283 km from Dar es salaam city via Morogoro route which takes approximately 4–5-hour drive making Mikumi a popular option for weekend visitors from the city, or for business visitors with limited time for Safari.

Day:8 Mikumi National Park
Full day Game drive at Mikumi National Park and drive along Mkata river.
After breakfast, go for a full day game drive across the Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes to see various animals of the park. You pass through the Mkata river which is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impala and spot a rich number of bird species.

Day: 9 Udzungwa Mountains National Park
Drive to Udzungwa for a nature hike to the famous Sanje waterfalls.
The park is famous for its high concentration of endemic species of animals and plants such as Sanje mangabey, Iringa red colobus and endemic Udzungwa Forest Partridge, Udzungwa Forest Francolin and Rufous wing sunbird. The park also offers a number of spectacular waterfalls including the popular one ‘’Sanje waterfalls’’ flowing over a huge rock buttress protruding from the forest canopy and down into a large pool base, making a perfect natural swimming pool. Udzungwa is the magnet for hikers which offer an excellent network of forest trails with impeccable jungle experience. This is a nice sport for adventure and nature lovers as it gets you close to the nature while giving the sense of exploration.
Dinner and overnight at Hondo Hondo Camp
Day: 10 Udzungwa – Dar es Salaam
After breakfast then drive back to the Airport for Flight back home/ hotel for drop off.
On this last day you will drive back to Dar Es Salaam, follow by drop off to the hotel/Airport marking the end of our Safari.
