SAFARI OVERVIEW:

This is 2days safari itinerary, the safari will lead you to Mikumi National Park and stop at Mikumi village for a lunch break and opt to visit Genesis Snake Park on the way back. With this safari package you will see different animal biodiversity, explore beautiful landscapes, scenic view of birds, big trees and shrimps, birds of prey, different snakes, reptiles and so much more.

Day:1 Dar-Mikumi National Park

Pick up from the Hotel/ Mwl Nyerere Airport drive then around 08:00hr Drive to Mikumi for Half day Game drive (5–6-hour drive), we pick lunch box on the way but you will also have an option for a hot lunch en-route.

Mikumi National Park was stablished in 1964, it is the fourth largest park in the country covering an area of 3,230 sq. Kms. The Mkata river floodplain is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impala and spot a rich number of bird species. It is 283 km from Dar es salaam city via Morogoro route which takes approximately 4–5-hour drive making Mikumi a popular option for weekend visitors from the city, or for business visitors with limited time for Safari.

Day:2 Mikumi National Park

Full day Game drive at Mikumi national park and drive along Mkata river.

After breakfast, go for a full day game drive across the Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes to see various animals of the park. You pass through the Mkata river which is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impala and spot a rich number of bird species.

Dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian Vuma Hill Tented Lodge

Day:3 Mikumi – Dar Es Salam

Morning game after breakfast then drive back to the Airport for Flight back home/ hotel for drop off.

On this day you may have an option to visit Genisis Snake Park on your way back to Dar Es Salaam, follow by drop off to the hotel/Airport marking the end of our Safari.
