SAFARI OVERVIEW:

This is 7days safari itinerary, the safari will lead you to Mikumi National Park then to Nyerere National Park and lastly extend this adventurous tour to Zanzibar Island for Cultural and historical venture as you be captive to the beach life of the island. With this safari package you will see different animal biodiversity, explore beautiful landscapes, scenic view of birds, big trees and shrimps, birds of prey, Historical sites, beautiful clear beaches and so much more.

Day:1 Dar-Mikumi National Park

Pick up from the Hotel/ Mwl Nyerere Airport around 08:00hr Drive to Mikumi for Half day Game drive (5–6-hour drive), we pick lunch box on the way but you will also have an option for a hot lunch en-route.

Mikumi National Park was stablished in 1964, it is the fourth largest park in the country covering an area of 3,230 sq. Kms. The Mkata river floodplain is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impala and spot a rich number of bird species. It is 283 km from Dar es salaam city via Morogoro route which takes approximately 4–5-hour drive making Mikumi a popular option for weekend visitors from the city, or for business visitors with limited time for Safari.

Day:2 Mikumi National Park

Full day Game drive at Mikumi National Park and drive along Mkata river.

After breakfast, go for a full day game drive across the Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes to see various animals of the park. You pass through the Mkata river which is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and impala and spot a rich number of bird species.

Day3: Nyerere National Park

Early after breakfast at 8:00 am, you’ll be picked up from your hotel, then driven to Nyerere National Park for an evening boat safari.

You will have a picnic lunch on the way an continue with a drive to the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. Late In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River, where you’ll come in contact with hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat, Crocodile glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippo appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

Day:4 Nyerere National Park

After breakfast from the camp, you’ll have another enjoyable safari day at Nyerere National Park looking for animals along the Great Rufiji River and through out the Park.

Nyerere National Park is a home to a large population of elephants, big number of buffalos and wild dogs. Other species commonly seen are lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus and crocodiles.

Day:5 Nyerere to Zanzibar

Early after morning breakfast from the hotel at 8:00am meet your guide and processed with transfer to the airport for an early flight to Zanzibar Island which is approximately 1 hour flight.

Upon arrival you will be picked up from the airport and enroute to prison island also known as Changuu island famously known for its huge turtle then afterwards you will visit Nakupenda island a beautiful sand bank which is appearance depends on the rise of the sea level you will have an option to have a picnic lunch at the island or in the city and lastly you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight at FUN BEACH HOTEL.

Day: 6 Zanzibar

You will have a relaxing day in Zanzibar beaches and get to know the beach lifestyle of people living in the island.

Dinner and overnight at FUN BEACH HOTEL.

Day: 7 Departure

On this last day you will transfer to Abeid Aman International Airport for your flight back home, marking the end of our Safari.
