9 DAY TANZANIA SAFARI OVERVIEW

This 9-Day Tanzania Safari With Activities starts at Materuni village for a coffee tour, then heads to Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, followed by a cultural tour at Lake Eyasi, and lastly extends this adventurous tour to see Serval wildlife. With this safari package, you will see different animal biodiversity, explore beautiful landscapes, scenic views of birds, big trees and shrubs, birds of prey, cultural activity, and so much more.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You will meet with our representative, followed by a transfer to Arusha, approximately 1 1-hour drive. Upon arrival in Arusha Region, you will have options to do some activities such as a coffee tour, a city tour, a museum tour, and a local market tour at your arrangement, Accommodation will be at KIBO PALACE HOTEL.

Day 2: Materuni (80km)

(08:00h) Pick up from the Hotel in Arusha after breakfast, followed by 3hrs drive to the Materuni village located in the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro and start your tour at a local coffee plantation farm where, you will learn to grow, roast and grind your coffee, you will also take a nature walk to Materuni Waterfall. On the way to Materuni Waterfall, you will get the opportunity to see local fruit like avocados, mangos, lemons, and bananas from their trees as well as learn some of the local history, traditions, village economy, and agricultural and cultural life along the way. Then, the day trip will end with a refreshing dip in the natural pool and a delicious local lunch accompanied by local alcohol called Mbege from the village, before heading to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay. Accommodation will be at KIBO PALACE HOTEL.

Day 3: Arusha to Serengeti (383km)

Enjoy an early morning breakfast from the hotel and meet the guide at (07:30h) for a drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area route, which is approximately 7 7-hour drive depending on traffic jams and weather conditions, followed by a half-day game drive at Serengeti National Park. The park is famous as is one of the national parks that hosts the great migration of wildebeest and one of the largest national parks in Tanzania with an area of 14,763 square km, Serengeti is a home for an abundance of wildlife and is one of the few parks where you can spot the big 5 animals and many carnivores together with birds of prey.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at SUENOS DE AFRICA LUXURY CAMP 

DAY 4: Serengeti

On this day, after having a warm breakfast at 07:00h, you will be heading to the northern part of the Serengeti for a full day game drive. During this time of the year, by chance, you may come across a wide group of wildebeest proceeding with their migration cycle. In the evening, you will be driven back to SUENOS DE AFRICA LUXURY CAMP for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro (228km)

Taking off after breakfast at (07:00h), you will have a morning game drive at Serengeti National Park, where it will be easy to spot an abundance of animals, especially predators such as lion, cheetah, hyenas, and leopards as they prefer to hunt in the cool of dawn and dusk. Then, you will head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and an overnight stay at EMBALAKAI AUTHENTIC CAMP.

DAY 6:  Ngorongoro to Marera Valley lodge (20.8km)

After an early breakfast at 07:00h, collect your packed lunch boxes and descend to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Ngorongoro crater is a deep volcanic crater with about 200 km, 600 km, and 300 sq km in area. This caldera is a breathtaking natural wonder and it is listed as one of the 8^th Wonder of the World by UNESCO and is listed as a protected area in the World Heritage Site. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, you have a good chance of spotting, The Big 5‟: i.e, Lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Within the Protected are they are the villages of Maasai who are allowed to coexist with animals under sanction rules of the Government.

In the late evening, transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight at MARERA VALLEY LODGE

Day 7: Lake Eyasi

(06:00h) Early in the morning before breakfast (packing breakfast box is optional), as you depart for hunting with the Hadzabe (bushmen) and learn and experience their lifestyle and culture, as they will share their hunting techniques, honey harvesting, and fire making. Then return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by packing for check out. Later, in the afternoon, you will have Lunch at the hotel (Packing la unch box is optional) then a visit to Datoga black smith village for a cultural tour and departure to Arusha (4 hours drive).

Dinner and overnight stay at KIBO PALACE HOTEL.

Day 8: Serval Wildlife (93km)

Early after morning breakfast from the hotel at 8:00 am meet your guide and processed with a 2 hours’ drive to a wildlife sanctuary in Siha district know as serval wildlife the area has over 1000 acres, prepared to host animals obtained ethically from zoos & injured animals from the wild to instill natural behaviours and eventually rehabilitate them into the wild. Once you are in this sanctuary, you will pet, feed, and take a spectacular picture with this animal. After the lunch break, you will be heading back to Arusha.

Overnight stay at KIBO PALACE HOTEL.

Day 9: Departure (53km)

This day marks the end of the safari, is you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Uganda.
